FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a printable substrate?
A printable substrate is the blank base material a print shop prints on, such as non-woven, vinyl, paper or fabric. The right substrate depends on your ink, your printer and where the wallpaper will hang.
What material is best for printing wallpaper?
It depends on your ink and where the wallpaper will hang. Tell us your printer and what you print, and we will suggest where to start.
Can I print wallpaper on a latex printer?
Yes, if the media is made for latex ink. The coating has to take water-based ink and dry properly with your heater settings.
Should I choose non-woven or vinyl?
There is no single winner. Think about where the wallpaper will go and how it will be cleaned.
Why is my ink not sticking to the wallpaper?
Common causes are ink that has not fully cured, a coating that does not suit your ink, heater settings that are off, or moisture reactivating the ink during installation.
What is the minimum order?
Trial orders have low minimums, so you can test before you commit.
How do I get samples?
Send us your printer model, your ink type and what you print. We will suggest media and arrange samples.
Can you provide fire or emissions documents?
For projects that need them, tell us the material and the use. We will share the documents we have for that material.
